MGA
The Men’s Golf Association is a great way to promote camaraderie among the membership. We will have a monthly shotgun that will be either on a Wednesday or a Thursday, and it will always be a 1:00 Shotgun. MGA play days start in March and will conclude in November. The format of Play will vary every month, and the cost to join MGA is $60.00 per year. This fee will include two guest days where the guest will receive complementary guest fees, a May cook-out, a November Holiday party, and one free drink ticket on MGA Payday for all participants. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the golf shop monthly for all play days, and members may either call the golf shop or sign up anytime they are at the club.
Ladies Golf Association
The Ladies Golf Association has been one of the fastest growing organizations at Pleasant Valley Country Club. Play days will be every Tuesday at 9:00am, and 8:30 during the months of June, July and August. The format of play will change each week, and the season will run from the end of March to the end of October. This is a very active group that is open to all Lady Members regardless of skill level. The cost to join the Ladies Golf Association is $50.00 annually which will include all Ladies play days, Socials, and Guest-days. The Ladies Golf Association will also host one of the premiere golf events in the State of Arkansas, The Alice Fryer Invitational. This is a three day, two lady scramble, which will take place the first week of May.
Men’s Wednesday Night League
Every Wednesday night during the golf season, we will host a weekly men’s event. This will be a nine-hole event that will shotgun at 5:30pm every week. These events are open to all Pleasant Valley golfing members and the cost will be $10.00 per event. The format of play will change each week, and sign up for these events will run until 5:00 the Wednesday of play. This is a great way to meet new members as well as enjoy Pleasant Valley Country Club
Junior Golf Program
The Junior Golf program at Pleasant Valley continues to be very active. Each year we have two week long junior golf camps that are open to all children and grandchildren of members. The first camp will be held in June with the second camp taking place in July. In August we will have one of our more popular junior events, the Parent Child. This is a nine hole modified alternate shot format that is open to all members regardless of whether they participated in the junior golf camps. Following the tournament, we will have our annual junior golf banquet, where will recognize our junior camp participants, as well as the winners of the Parent-Child and the junior Club Champions.
