1. RESERVATIONS: Members are encouraged to make reservations well in advance of the date and time needed. In the event you need to cancel your outdoor court reservation please give consideration to others who may want to play by doing so as early as possible. When courts are full, play will be limited to one and a half hours, on a reservation basis, with doubles having preference on Saturday and Sunday.
A. All members must sign in before taking the court at the Pro Shop. If you forget, the Pro Shop staff will come on the court and ask you to sign in.
B. Guests should be signed in by the member prior to taking the court. Guest fees must be charged to a member’s account. No cash.
2. ATTIRE: Players must wear appropriate tennis attire the entire year. Appropriate tennis shoes must be worn on the courts.
3. Drinks in the court area should be kept on the Tidi-Court drink stands, no glass please.
4. No furniture or chairs shall be allowed on the courts at any time.
5. Adults have preference on all courts at all times with the following exceptions:
A. Non-member special activities and tournaments pre-approved by the Tennis Committee have preference over other activities. Member special activities shall take precedent over all events.
6. GUEST RULES:
A. Guests should be accompanied by member at all times unless prior approval has been given by the Director of Tennis.
B. If repeated visits by same guest/guests prevent members’ ability to use courts or appears to be abusing the Club through overuse, Tennis Committee may limit the number of times guest may visit PVCC.
C. Members are requested to have only three guests per member per court unless prior approval is given by Director of Tennis and does not interfere with regular member play.
D. Guest fee will be $5.00 per person. This charge is subject to change.
E. Contact Director of Tennis for guest policies regarding USTA team tennis, Intercity leagues, charity and corporate events.
7. PRO SHOP AND COURT RULES: The purpose of the Pro Shop is to provide members and their guests a place to rest, visit and buy merchandise in a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. It is provided for the enjoyment of all those who participate in the PVCC Tennis Program. The following rules apply:
A. No horseplay or loud disturbance in Pro Shop, on courts or near courts.
B. Profanity or obscene gestures will not be tolerated.
C. Please limit use of phone to 3 minutes.
D. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult when in the Pro Shop or tennis area.
8. INDOOR COURT POLICIES
A. Reservations may be made as far in advance as members desire.
B. Indoor courts must be reserved in 1-1/2 hour intervals beginning at 9:00 a.m.
C. Member must sign in before entering courts and pay for any court or guest charges.
D. Once a court/courts are booked, the member is responsible for all charges. If courts are cancelled less than 48 hours from the time of the reservation, the member will be charged. Any exceptions must be approved by the Director of Tennis.
E. Court charges and guest fees must be charged to a PVCC member. No cash.
F. For information on permanent court time, team tennis bookings, charity or corporate events, please contact the Director of Tennis.
G. To reduce the echo inside, please contain conversation around the court to avoid disturbing those on the next court.
ENFORCEMENT
The enforcement of these rules is a primary function of the Director of Tennis and his staff. The Director has the responsibility of handling routine offenses himself, but in a case of repetitive problems, he/she will bring these to the attention of the Tennis Committee, which may result in a warning and a letter of suspension.
