We are already a month into the New Year. Plans have been finalized for what we believe will be an exciting golf season. In your upcoming news letter there will be a copy of the the 2012 Golf Schedule. Please mark you calendars for all of the important events that you wish to participate.
Four-Ball: The 2012 Four-Ball will be June 1-3. We will once again have a field of 160 teams participating in this year’s event. Please keep in mind that golfing members will have first priority to enter this event just as they have had in the past. Entries for golfing members will go out the last week in March, and they will have two weeks to return their entries (by mail) before we open the event to teams form outside the club. If you are scheduled to be out of town during this time, please make arrangements to have someone send your entry in for you. Please keep in mind that entries are not transferable, and must be accompanied by the entry fee. A list of entrants will be posted in the golf shop and updated regularly. We look forward to have another successful Four-Ball in 2012, and we hope to see you there.
18-Hole Couples: Eighteen-hole couples is back in full force this year. We will again play once a month on a Sunday afternoon with a shotgun start at 1:00. The formats will vary from month to month, from scrambles to individual play. We will score upstairs in the Lounge with the bar available.
Thursday Night Men's event: April 10th thru August 30th we will host a nine hole men’s event every possible Thursday night. It will be a 5:30 shotgun. Members will have until 4:00 the day of the event to sign up. The golf shop will then do pairings for the event. The format will vary for each event, from scrambles, to shoot-outs, alternate shots, and best ball format. These will be fun events for all whether you are meeting new members, or just playing golf with your buddies.
